A picture taken from a bridge over the river Thames in London during the Heads of the River Race. This takes place one week before the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race. The picture shows the photogrphic technique of deliberate blur to show motion and speed. It also illustrates teamwork and working together to win. The oarsmen are just about to swing the oars back to sweep through the example of the photographic technique of creative blur achieved by photographing a moving object using a slow shutter speed. This picture has NOT been digitally altered but it has been used to make up other of my pictures in Alamy that show dynamic action and creative blur through digital alteration. Those effects have been achieved by use of the Image Transform Perspective controls in Photoshop Elements.
