Madayipara is a Vast rocky area situated in Madayi Village, near Payangadi, Kannur District of Kerala, India. There are also some historical landmarks like Madayi Fort, Jewish Pond. And there is also a mythological landmark called Vadukunnu Lake, near to Vadukunnu Shiva Temple. One of the famous temples in Kerala called: Madayikavu Thiruvarkkaattu Bhagavathi Temple is also situated in Madayipara. Madayipara is also famous for Bird Photography. You can see lots of Brahimini Kites, Brahmini Juvenile Kites (in every seasons), Red Wattled Lapwings, etc. There are also some rare species of Flowers which are only seen in Monsoon season. The major mineral resource in Madayipara is China clay. But China clay mining is strictly prohibited in Madayipara. Because it is eaten a big part of Madayipara already. And also China clay mining has created several environmental problems to the people living near Madayipara and the China clay Mine. Lot of Ayurvedic Doctors come to Madayipara to collect various medicinal plants for their medicine research.
