On many days, the Cades Cove section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park can resemble rush hour, with car after car nearly bumper to bumper as excited visitors strain their eyes and their necks for sight of a family of bears or a few timid deer. This photo was created on an afternoon just an hour or so after rain had stopped, and the handful of visitors who remained were treated to a lovely, peaceful seclusion like you see here.
