Marines of the Marine Guard detachment aboard the USS HANCOCK are seen guarding a South Vietnamese helicopter that has just landed on the carrier's deck during Operation Frequent Wind in April 1975. As part of the evacuation exercises, no one was allowed to leave the helicopter until disarmed and the aircraft searched thoroughly.
