A view of the conical and domed pavilions on the roof of the Ship's Palace (Jahaz Mahal).

Jahaz Mahal in the royal enclave is a 120 mt long 2 storey "ship palace" built between two artificial lakes, Munja Talao and Kapur Talao. It was probbly built by Sultan Ghiyas-ud-din-Khilji for his large harem. With its open pavilions, balconies overhanging the water and open terrace, Jahaz Mahal is an imaginative recreation in stone of a royal pleasure craft.
