The Association of Friends of the Camino de Astorga celebrates the 900th anniversary of the founding of the city’s first pilgrim hostel with a light show at the Albergue de peregrinos Siervas de María on September, 25, 2021 in Astorga, Spain. The original Hospital de San Feliz was founded in the eleventh century at this location and operated until the late sixteenth or early seventeenth century. The popular refuge falls along the Camino Frances route of the Way of St. James pilgrimage that runs southwest from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, France to Santiago de Compostela, Galicia.
