Operation Teapot atom bomb test. Canadian and British observers illuminated by the burst of light from an atomic explosion at the Nevada Test Site, USA, on 15th April 1955. The observers are using protective viewers to avoid being blinded by the radiation from the atom bomb. The yield of the bomb was equivalent to 22,000 tons of TNT. The actual atomic explosion itself, named MET (Military Effects Test), was the 12th test in the Operation Teapot series.
