Selection, the means employed to establish this variety, has been constantly made to secure the largest early heads, with the fewest loose leaves. The deep, flat heads are remarkably solid and uniform in color as well as in shape and size. The illustration has been accurately engraved from a few heads in the foreground of a photograph of for seed. It shows the uniformity of Burpee's All- Head, just as it grows in the field. No other early cabbage is so " llio>-ouqlibred'' in its type, and consequently no other is so profit ble to the mar- ket-g a r d e n e r . One ounce will raise 1,500 plants.
