Air Force Capt. Victoria "Tory" Pickney, 93rd Air Refueling Squadron pilot, is memorialized during the Shell 77 memorial event at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, May 3, 2022. Pickney alongside her fellow crew members, Capt. Mark "Tyler" Voss, 93rd ARS aircraft commander, and Force Tech Sgt. Herman "Tre" Mackey III, 93rd ARS boom operator, died during Operation Enduring Freedom when their aircraft experienced a flight control malfunction and crashed over the mountains south of Manas Air Base.
