Goodsell,under the firm name of W. H. Davy & Company. After about eight ornine years in that business Mr. Davy retired from active management andleft the business in the hands of Mr. Goodsell, his partner. For the past thirty years Mr. Davy has been interested in farming andhas large land investments. He now owns about three sections of land inClay county and carries on farming on an extensive scale. His time forthe past eleven or twelve years has been mostly occupied in superintendinghis farms. In 1914 he had a patch of potatoes within the citv limits, adjoin-. W. H. Davy has spent most of his wintersin Florida or California and has thus been able to escape the rigor of Minne-sota winters. He is among the wealthiest farmers in the state, yet he is veryunpretentious and li\es in ]\Ioorhead in a modest way. He is a member ofthe Episcopal church of Moorhead and has served for many years as wardenin that church. He served several years as county commissioner of Claycounty, and was chairman of that board for several years. He served twotenns as mayor of Moorhead. Mr. Daw is one of the living pioneers of Moorhead and is still one ofthe citizens of
