CAMP COURTNEY, OKINAWA, Japan—Children interact and choose their friend from the other school to play with during a friendship day at the Chura Warabi Center Feb. 16 aboard Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan. The children picked a friend from the other school to be their buddy for the day. “More events like this in the future would be great,” said Peggy Vinyard, an English teacher at Kanasa, and a Stockton, Missouri, native. “It gives the children the opportunity to experience another culture and brings the community closer.”
