Leaves / foliage and white flowers of Hedge Garlic / Jack-by-the-hedge / Alliaria petiolata in grass verge. H/G is a common edible wild plant.
Large leaved plant behind Hedge Garlic is a specimen of Broad-leaved Dock / Rumex obtusifolius, while the ple pink flowers to the front belong to a specimen of Red Campion / Silene dioica. The particular Dock species is edible, although very bitter and needs boiling in water to remove bitterness. And while some refer to Red Campion leaves as being edible I feel it is wise to avoid them since they contain saponins which can be detrimental to human health if ingested.
