The chief rallying-points of visitors are the small Straubinger-Platz (PI. On the E. slope of the valley is the Konian Catholic ParishChurch, completed in 1875, the platform behind which affords agood view of the lower fall. Farther on is the St. Nikolaus-Kirche(PL B, 3), dating from the end of the 14th century. On the of the valley, on which stands the small Protestant Church(, 4), built in 1873, begin the Eeichs-Str. and the Bahnhof-Str., both leading to Hof-G-astein. On the wooded slope above theElisabethhof ascends the road to Bockstein (p. 176), from whichthe road to the Kotschach valley diverges to the left above theHohe BriicJce (PL B, 4). The excavations for the railway broughtto light several ancient glacier-mills (PL 01.; A, 2, 3, B, 5) both inthe Bahnhof-Str. and the Boeksteiner-Str.
