Burscough, Merseyside, UK Weather 13th December 2017. Spectacular Starling flocks mumurate over Martin Mere nature reserve at sunset as an estimated ten thousand starlings gather at the onset of another cold night. The murmur or chatter, the interaction between the huge numbers as they fly, is quite intense and is thought to form part of a communication of sorts.
