Chicago, Illinois, USA. A view of the North Branch of the Chicago River from beyond an old Chicago & North Wester Railway bridge.
A view of the North Branch of the Chicago River from beyond an old Chicago & North Wester Railway bridge that is no longer in use and is permanently left in the raised position. The scene is looking south to where the North Branch of the Chicago River meets both the Main Branch and the South Branch. At left foreground, is the Chicago Sun Times and Holiday Inn Hotel Building and just past the bridge, at left, is Wolf Point West. In the background, beyond the bridge is another recent addition to the skyline, the 150 North Riverside Building that opened in 2017. The building is 53 stories tall and due to its size and location employs an unusually small base for the building. It features million square feet of lease space.
