Observing ground of the Eneolithic observatory Ak-Baur. The Altai Mountains, East Kazakhstan
The Ak-Baur archaeological monument is an ancient observatory of Cooper Age. It is situated near the foothills of Mont Korzhimbai in the Altai Mountains near the capital of East Kazakhstan – Ust-Kamenogorsk city. The archaeological monument Ak-Baur consists of several objects. They are the observing ground, grotto and some cliffs with rock drawings. Observing ground made from six stones aimed to watching the definite points of starry sky limited by two natural rocks. Grotto Ak-Baur is a grotto with red ocher rock drawings which probably marking definite stars.
