In 1870, heresigned the above chaige, with a view to return to the bounds of theBaltimore Presbytery. In 1867, Mr. Morrison was a member of theGeneral Assembly of his church at Cincinnati; and during the same yearat Indianapolis, at the joint meeting of the synods of Indiana, he delivereda forcible and eloquent address on the reunion of the Presbyterian church,which was published in full in the Indianapolis Journal, and widelycirculated. For a few months before his retuxn to Maryland, he supplieda church at Shipman, Macoupin Co., IlL In 1872, he accepted a call tothe Bethel church of Harford Co., Md., still retaining his residence inBaltimore. In 1873, he became editor and one of the proprietors of the Presbyterian Weekly of Baltimore. In May of 1875, he was appointed.
