Parietal lobes in the brain. Computer artwork of a person's head showing the brain inside. The highlighted area shows the parietal lobes. The cerebrum (telencephalon) of the brain is divided into four lobes (temporal, occipital, frontal and parietal), mirrored on each hemisphere. The parietal lobe plays important roles in integrating sensory information from various parts of the body, knowledge of numbers and their relations, and in the manipulation of objects. Portions of the parietal lobe are involved with visuospatial processing.
