LATHAM- Five new recruits to the New York Army National Guard take the oath of enlistment on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at a ceremony honoring the 375th Birthday of the National Guard. The Adjutant General of New York, Major General Patrick Murphy,administered the oath to privates Haley Young, Michael Patterson, Shelbi Vanderbogart, Eric Petersone and Donald Pestuglicci.
