The English branch of the familyhave held lands in England from the reign of William the Con-queror. The original arms granted to this family, to boththe French and English branches thereof, are as described be-low, viz.: Arms: On a field argent, three bars wavy, sable; on a chief gtiles, a saltire : A demi-lion rampant.
