An M777 towed 155mm Howitzer lay in place under the rising sun during SUMMER FIREX 2018 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 10, 2018. The exercise was conducted to sustain and enhance 1st Marine Regiment’s ability to plan, coordinate and deliver lethal fire support, counter fires, and regimental command and control.
