Audubons type specimen isin the Giraud Collection, Vassar College Museum. It was collected byDr Trudeau at Absecum Beach, Egg Harbor, N. J. Unfortunately theincidents and dates connected with the capture of the Long Island specimenwere not definitely recorded, but there is no reason to believe that Audubonwas mistaken regarding the ident
