Gy Sgt Ernest L. Dolezilek from Canton, Mississippi, attempts to bring comfort to a small Vietnamese boy and his sister. The siblings had been separated from their mother, and a Viet Cong soldier had tried to exploit their situation by passing off as their father. The courageous children refused his claim, and the Marines took them to friendly locals who would care for them until they could be reunited with their mother. This photograph was taken during the Vietnam War in 1969 by SSgt Bob Jorden.
