Westwick, Cambridgeshire, UK. 8th May, 2016. The leading female runner passes the village of Westwick at the 10K point of the Wings of Life World Run having started in Cambridge in temperatures of around 26 degrees C. Runners in 35 locations worldwide started at exactly the same time and run for as long as they can. There is not a finish line and a “catcher car” (driven by David Coulthard in the UK) starts 30 minutes after the race starts and slowly speeds up until everyone is overtaken. The last person running is the global winner. Credit: Julian Eales/Alamy Live News
