Swansea, 10th October 2023, Rare Bird Swansea A spotter uses a long lens to get a shot of the bird as a passer by stops to look. A rare bird called the Hoopoe, with its distinctive black and white wings, crown of colourful feathers and long, curving bill, has been spotted at Swansea Bay. The sightings have attracted ornithologists and bird enthusiasts from around the UK to the Welsh seaside city for a chance to spot the bird up close. They don't breed in the UK and a sighting is very rare.
