A splendid percussion pistol, LePage in Paris, circa 1840. Blued six-sided, fluted barrel with a twelve-groove rifled bore in 11 mm calibre. Barrel root and muzzle area ornamented with gold-inlaid arabesques. The signature " LePage à Paris" is inlaid in gold on top of the barrel. The snail and tang are inlaid in gold. The tang is inscribed "1". Percussion lock has golden arabesque decoration. Ebony half stock entirely covered with fine vine decoration. Butt broken. Blued iron furniture with gold-inlaid decoration.
