Bertí mountains in Bigues i Riells in the region of Valles Oriental province of Barcelona,Catalonia,Spain

The Riscos de Bertí are a set of cliffs and reliefs that are part of the Precoastal Mountain Range of the autonomous community of Catalonia and that separate the Moyanés plateau from the Vallés depression. They receive the name of the parish of San Pedro de Bertí located in the central part of their route. The Government of Catalonia in June 2002 approved the creation of the Riscos del Bertí as a Plan for Areas of Natural Interest. This protected space, somewhat larger than the Riscos de Bertí itself, includes the municipal districts of San Felíu de Codinas, Bigas and San Quirico Safaja. Bigues i Riells, which, as its place name indicates, is made up of two towns, is located in the valley of the Tenes River, a river course that crosses the western sector of the municipal term, after meeting with the Rossinyol, and which has in the Salto de Agua del Fai one of its most beautiful corners. In this very uneven terrain, the southern buttresses of the Gallifa cliffs meet. The Bertí cliffs also influence the relief of the municipality. The Riells valley is narrow, with the northern part embedded in the Sant Miquel valley. The wider Bigues valley is bounded on the east by the Loma de l'Ametlla and the Puiggraciós peak (807 metres).
