The company largely operated in Scappoose and the surrounding Columbia County area. The logging company also owned the Portland & Southwestern Railway Company, which allowed them to transport timber to Portland. In 1927, the Nehalem Timber & Logging Company and the Portland & Southwestern Railway Company became part of a four part merger, in which the Clark & Wilson Lumber Company became the main operator. The Beaver Lumber Company at Prescott was also included in this merger.
