Carla Peperzak, a survivor and Dutch resistance member during the occupation of Holland by Nazi Germany, accepts commemorative coins and flowers from Col. Ryan Samuelson, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, Apr. 24, 2017, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. At 91 years old, Peperzak is the last known holocaust survivor in the Spokane area.
