The large flowers are very distinct and produced in great abundance Each 35c AVONELLE—This is an exceptional dahlia. The flowers are about 10 inches, with good depth and substance. Color, a very deep purplish velvety maroon, shading deeper at the center and changing to a light royal purple as they mature and go by. Blooms last a long time both on the plant and as a cut flower, and there are usually two to five of the huge flowers all the time. Stems can be cut to over two feet and are rigid and strong.
