Lymphoblast natural killer cell, illustration. This killer cell has formed from a lymphoblast, an immature white blood cell (leukocyte) located in the bone marrow. Lymphoblasts generally form mature lymphocytes, a key part of the body's immune system, helping to fight disease. Types of lymphocytes formed from lymphoblasts are: B lymphocytes, T lymphocytes, and natural killer cells. For the formation of lymphocytes from lymphoblasts, see images C047/5451 and C047/5452.
