Tide pooling at Halleck Harbor in Saginaw Bay on Kuiu Island yields a Sunflower seastar (Pycnopodia helianthoides), the largest seastar in the world with between 16 and 24 limbs. The underside of the sea star is fitted with tube feet which can move it in quick persuit of prey.
