URASOE, OKINAWA, Japan— Cpl. Hollianne Ervin helps tie carp streamers to a rope April 16 at Aja River near Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. The streamers, or koinobori, are hung in preparation for Boys Day May 5. During Boys Day, residents wish for the health and success of their boys. Ervin is a finance technician with Headquarters Regiment, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
