Coed Ty Canol national nature reserve, Preselli Pembrokeshire Wales
Ty Canol is a mixture of ancient oak woodland and pasture, known as wood pasture, and has been grazed by cattle, sheep and ponies for many centuries. Woodland had ebbed and flowed here since the Ice Age. This is one of the richest sites for lichens in Britain and Ireland.
