THE DUKERIES. The district known as the Dukeries is not markedas such on the average map, though there certainly is arailway station known as Dukeries Junction, but roughlyspeaking it covers the ground coming within an eight mileradius of the small village of Ollerton in derives its name from the fact that the district is made upof four ducal estates, originally included in the Forest ofSherwood and the Abbey lands of Welbeck.
