1943 Syria - British military office treats Kurdish people along the Syria Turkey border - many suffering from Trachoma
This series of Images appear to be the work of an anonymous British army officer, posted to the region during the latter stages of WW2. Every reasonable effort has been made to identify the author, but it has not been possible. It is our understanding that under UK law, anonymous photographs of a personal nature are free of copyright after 70 years from the date they were taken. If taken in the course of his work as a servant of the UK Crown, then they would be out of copyright after 50 years. End users may wish to confirm this situation - no guarantee is given or implied.
