Bust of Czech war hero Otakar Jaros at the memorial cemetery of the Czechoslovak soldiers at the Dukla Mountain Pass, Slovakia. Otakar Jaros was a Czech officer in the Czechoslovak forces in the Soviet Union. He was killed in the Battle of Sokolovo in 1943 and became the first foreigner decorated with the Hero of the Soviet Union, the highest Soviet decoration.
