A male Oriental Magpie Robin perched on a cut branch in a Bangkok garden

The Oriental Magpie Robin (Copsychus saularis) is resident in tropical southern Asia from Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Eastern Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, South China, Malaysia, and Singapore. It is a small passerine bird and was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family (the Turdidae), but is now considered to be an Old World flycatcher. It is found in open woodland and cultivated areas often close to human habitations, and this image was taken in my garden in Thailand.
