Male Thomson s Gazelle Masai Mara National Reserve Kenya East Africa He is marking his territory by rubbing his preorbital gland on the tip of a tall grass stem which leaves a black tar like substance on the tip of the stem This gives off an odour which tells other gazelles that this patch of land is taken
