Tabular Iceberg in the Gerlache Strait near Mikkelsen Harbour, Trinity Island, Antarctica
The Gerlache Strait runs between the Antarctic Peninsula and the Plamer Archipelago. Mikkelsen Harbour is a safe anchorage on the southern edge of Trinity Island in the Palmer Archipelago. It contains a small island - D'Hainaut - which has a gentoo penguin colony and an Argentine refuge hut. The island is frequented by passenger cruise ships during the Antarctic summer.
