A South German poleyn,circa 1550 - 1560. Poleyn for the left knee with a single articulation above and below,a small wing with turned and roped edge. Etched with bands of border scrollwork inhabited by grotesques and that on the principal plate involving a winged cherubic grotesque. The wing chipped at the rear terminal,the etching crisp and clear. Höhe cm.
