145th Airlift Wing C-17 Globemaster III Aircraft 0183 sits for the first time on the flight line of Pope Army Airfield, during the first NCANG C-17 mission to Pope Army Airfield, while at Pope Army Airfield, Fayetteville North Carolina, August 1, 2018. The mission to Pope Field is the first of what is hoped to be many, by October the 145th Airlift Wing plans to begin supporting Airdrop missions with weekly flights to Pope Field, picking up Soldiers and Cargo for regular Airborne operations.
