Tinnedsalmon and other fish are the commonest of them. Cases of serious illness or wounds, unable to take theordinary diets and accessories are fed on such extras as eggs,milk, rice broth, port wine, and rum. The meals were distributed in meat tins made locally. Therice or diet is placed in the body of the tin, and the accessoriesin the two compartments of the tray on the top.
