When the heat becomes toogreat, the rise of the mercury cuts the coils out of circuit and allows themto cool. A coop for the chicks, in which the cover can be raised to ac-commodate with their growth. The only attention required is to sprinklethe eggs with fresh water and to turn them once a day. A rheostatregulates the current for a nearly uniform temperature of the heatingcoils. 176 ELECTRIC POWER AND DEVICES.
