Photo hi/] [ff. //. Parsons. Our illustration above is of the Shorthorn bull Lord Brilliant, sold at the Royal Show at Lincoln for 1,000 guineas toMr. Rogers. It was exhibited by its breeder, Mr. R. R. Rothwell, Estate Office, Miller Arcade, Preston and wonthe Second Prize for Bulls calved on or b9twe3n January 1 and June 3D, 1936. Lord Brilliant is by Lord Blanche 13thout of Wallflower s Brilliant 16th. of cattle, and £52 2s. 51 for thirty-one rams wereconsidered exceptional, particularly the latter ;but when comparod with those realised last weekcan only be counted as moderate. Messrs. Thornton and Co. sold the cattle, asthey have done each year since these sales werestarted, and in commencing, Mr. Thorntonmentioned that the merit of the stock to beoffered needed no greater recommendation thanthe fact he found year after year the same excel-lent demand, and, as a rule, many of tho samebuyers, this showing the stock purchased gavesatis
