Hofstede as a seller of figurines ( bust of Prince Willem V) in a school class that is beaten by the schoolmaster with a bulglepes. Following Brinxmas issued letter against Hofstede and its publications "Apology" (1785) and "Flowers scattered on the grave of Friso" (1752). On the leaf next to the plate a verse of 16 lines.
