To the right of the cross two Pharisees in conversation with a soldier, more in the foreground the hundred men with a soldier. Mary Magdalene kneels at the foot of the cross that she embraces. The background consists of tendrils with flowers. At the top left the shining sun, on the right the moon is obscured by a cloud. Most men wear Jewish hats, the latter soldier a hoodie of mail and a sort of paltrok. The holy women have nimbuses, descent from the cross: Christ is tasks down from the cross, usually by Nicodemus and Joseph or Arimathaea who are standing on the ladders (both arms or Christ detached), anonymous, Paris, c. 1400 - c. 1420, ivory, gilding, h cm
