"Wild Boar with a Severed Snout", 1996, outdoor sculpture by Ronald Rae. Falkirk Wheel, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.

"Wild Boar with Severed Snout". Kemnay Granite 2x4x3 ft. ton. Originally the wild boar had a snout, however a flaw in the stone caused it to break off , the result of which Rae also broke his thumb! However because of the breakage of the snout it made the stone more significant as wild boars are still exploited today by man. Ronald Rae was born in Ayr, Scotland in 1946.
