A portrait of a Balti girl in Thang, the last village in Leh district in Ladakh. The Thang village was seized from Pakistan as a result of the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971. Pharnu and Thang are twin villages where family members are seen living on either side of the two neighboring country's villages.
