In fact they quitelooked on me as an old pal. These cour-tesies were very flattering, but the inconven-ience that I was caused by being poked inthe ribs and winked at now and then, asmuch as to say, All right, old boy, we know,— you Ve been there, rendered my favorit-ism among these fellows rather irksome.
